Anne Bonfiglio, Founder and Executive Director
Anne Bonfiglio's life-long goal has been to help underprivileged minority youth improve their future through a career.
She has taught high school students preparing girls for the New York State Regents exams, and has tutored in remedial English classes at Kingsborough College .
All my life I have been concerned and sympathetic towards young people who are members of families in the poorer segment of our society, and who do not have the financial ability to support the education of their children. In bringing up and educating my five children here in New York City 's public schools, I was constantly aware of this problem.
One major factor that prompted me to start this charity was the pro bono work of my late husband, an attorney. He was an inspiration to me since he was always giving legal advice to poor families and representing them at little or no charge.
Personally, I believe that every child here in America deserves the opportunity for a bright future. I am passionate about helping as many young people as possible through PSA to identify jobs and careers, find personal fulfillment and make a life for themselves.

CURRENT EVENTS AND NEWS
The Partnership held its major yearly fundraiser recently at Con Edison's headquarters in NYC again this past April 25th, 2007. Highlights were an Antiques Roadshow- type antique and treasure evaluation of attendees' possessions by Helene Fendelman of the Antiques Association of America, music by Norman Hedman's 7 piece Jazz band, and a large varied Silent Auction.

The Partnership Board has had discussions with the management staff of the High School of Leadership and Public Service on Trinity Place in NYC about bringing the PSA program to that school in September, 2007.

The Principal of that H.S. has agreed to host our program, so we will be taking in a large group of students from the school in September.
The Principal and staff at this school are very enthused about what our program brings to the students and the school as a whole.

PSA has been able to place its current students in various job shadowing
opportunities this summer in medicine at Brookdale Hospital, and in journalism in several companies and publications.
This will confirm the students' career choices.

A full page color ad for the Partnership was published in Business Week's Northeast edition of June 4, 2007, detailing our mission and asking for support. This is the first major advertising the charity has obtained to date.
STAY TUNED FOR FUTURE EVENTS AND NEWS
